AIRBORNE MEMORIAL SERVICE

Do you want to attend the Airborne Memorial Service? You are most welcome! The public commemoration service will take place in the Arnhem-Oosterbeek War Cemetery at the Van Limburg Stirumweg in Oosterbeek.

Due to limited space in the Cemetery the seats are only available for invited guests and for Arnhem-veterans and immediate next of kin of fallen soldiers. They can send in a request for reserved seats.

A limited number of seats are available for disabled people and elderly. These seats cannot be reserved in advance. The grounds of the Cemetery are accessible for wheelchairs, but keep in mind that the grounds are unpaved.

For all other visitors enough standing places are available to attend the Service.

RULES OF CONDUCT
The Airborne Memorial Service is een herdenkingsplechtigheid waarbij bezoekers wordt gevraagd:

to behave in an appropriate and respectful manner;
not to smoke;
to switch off or mute mobile telephones and/or other devices;
huisdieren met uitzondering van hulphonden zij niet toegestaan;
alcoholische dranken en etenswaren zijn niet toegestaan;
to follow directions and guidelines of the organisation.

RE-ENACTMENT
Als re-enactor draag je het uniform van de geallieerden uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Ga met respect met dit uniform om en probeer te allen tijde, het respect en eer te geven aan hen die dit uniform droegen en rekening te houden met de impact die dit kan hebben op anderen. Het is daarom tijdens deze herdenkingsdienst niet toegestaan;

de begraafplaats te betreden in compleet historisch gevechtstenue, zoals helmen, munitietassen etc.
om (historische) wapens, inclusief blanke wapens (messen), zwaarden, degens, sabels, bajonetten en wapenstokken te dragen (uitgezonderd participerende militairen);
om historische Duitse uniformen en/of symbolen van fascistische en nationaalsocialistische bewegingen zoals bijvoorbeeld de NSB en NSDAP te dragen;
om op re-enactment uniformen onderscheidingstekens te dragen, in welke uitvoering dan ook, uit respect voor gesneuvelden, nabestaanden, familieleden en veteranen (jong en oud).

The Oosterbeek railway stations is 500 meters from the Cemetery.

BY CAR

Enough parking space is available at walking distance of the Cemetery.

BY COACH

Coaches of visiting groups can be parked next to the Cemetery.

BY BIKE

There is a temporary parking for bicycles next to the Cemetery.
